Actor Cameron Mathison broke down in tears as he returned to the rubble of his home, as wildfires continue to rage across LA prompting further evacuations.
The Canadian actor and television host documented his return to his neighborhood in Pasadena, California yesterday, which had been devastated in the Eaton wildfire.
As he looked on at the destruction during the car ride, the 55-year-old broke down in tears and shouted ‘oh my God’, ‘oh my God’, in complete disbelief.
He also shared a video approaching his property, showing the extent of the damage caused to the building’s structure, as ash and flames were seen in the background.
Speaking to CNN today, Mathison said: ‘I had never heard those sort of sounds come out of me before.
‘It was very odd, it was kind of a guttural pain and disbelief and sort of shock and fear as I was approaching my property and not seeing the house.’
Mathison told CNN he woke up at 5am to reports that journalists were in his neighbourhood covering the wildfires, showing ‘my neighborhood burning’.
He said he recognized the houses on the footage, but could not see if his own home had been spared.

The actor documented his reaction as he walked through the charred remains of his family home which he had lived in for 13 years
‘I just couldn’t take it anymore and I just got in the car and weaved my way up into the neighborhood,’ he said.
‘Houses were burning all around and there were tons of smoke, roads were closed.
‘I made it up to my street and when I came into my stretch of houses it was just totally decimated.’
Mathison and his now estranged wife Vanessa Arevalo lived in the home with their two children.
The All My Children star bought the house in 2012 with Arevalo for $1.672 million.
Adam Brody and Leighton Meester’s LA home has also been destroyed in the devastating Pacific Palisades wildfire.
Shocking photos showed the once stunning family home in the glitzy celebrity enclave reduced to a smoking wreck on Wednesday.
The roof had burned away and flames ripping through the rooms, while the windows had been smashed and black smoke was seen pouring out of the home.
