Congratulations!đ„łđđ Janelle & Meri Defeating Kody & Robyn to Win The Most Ownership of Coyote Pass
Polygamous reality star Kody Brownâs long-running legal battle with his former âspousesâ Meri and Janelle Brown has taken a furious new twist as the trio continues to duke it out over a shared piece of land in Coyote Pass, which they purchased back in 2018 when they were all still âmarried.â
In the most recent episode of his hit TLC series âSister Wives,â Kody, 55, hit back at his ex-wivesâ claims that they are owed an equal share in the 14-acre Arizona propertyâinsisting that he invested far more money in the land than they did, thereby entitling him to a large piece of the pie.
âWe didnât pay for Coyote Pass all equally,â he claimed in the Jan. 26 installment of his show. âI paid for an entire lot all by myself, at least 92% of it.â
The land in question was purchased for $820,000 when Kody was still in a relationship with all four of his âsister wivesâ: Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn.
However, in 2021, Kodyâs relationships with three of his four wives began to crumbleâand over the next two years, Christine, Janelle, and Meri all called time on their romances with him. Only Robyn, the one woman to whom he has ever legally been married, remained with him.

Christine ultimately chose to sell her piece of the land back to Kody in a privately arranged deal, having told those closest to her that she did not want to remain linked to her ex in any way.
However, Meri and Janelle both still hold a stake in the landâand have repeatedly criticized Kody for refusing to give them any insights into what he plans to do with it.
Now, after months of back and forth, the two women have taken their fight to new extremes, with both revealing in the Jan. 26 episode of âSister Wivesâ that they have chosen to seek advice from lawyers over how to handle the battle moving forward.
During a call between the two women, Meri says of Kodyâs claim over the land: âI donât think you get to decide what we do with it. Sorry you are not the head of my family.â
Janelle then tells her: âI think it is time for somebody to be pushing my interests. I probably will get a lawyer. In fact, Iâve been talking to one. I hope you feel like that for you too.â
Meri confirms that she is on the same page, responding: âI do because it has been a year and half since Iâve had that conversation with Kody.â
She adds in a one-to-one with the camera: âThereâs been a lot of confusion surrounding the way things have been done in the family, the way that Kody is with me and has been with me for many, many years. So I think I am going to get a lawyer to help me through this process.
âI feel like for quite a few years Iâve sat back and just not wanted to ruffle feathers so I havenât pushed the issue on many things, but I will push the issue now.â

Meriâs decision to pursue legal action comes after she claimed in a previous episode of the show that Kody had told her she was not entitled to an equal share in the land because sheâd only had one child with him, while his other wives had conceived multiple kids.
The land was purchased in four parcels, with Kody taking a share in all four of themâhowever, all of the plots are of varying sizes and were split between the women in very different ways.
For example, Kody, his current wife, Robyn, and his ex-wife, Christine, all had a share in the largest plot of land, per TLC, while Kody and Janelle split another, smaller plot. However, after ending her marriage to Kody, Christine arranged a deal with him in which she gave up all her rights to the shared property.
Kody also splits a third plotâthe smallest of the fourâwith Robyn, while the fourth is split between him, Janelle, and Meri.
This means that of all the wives, Meri was given the smallest allotment of land, approximately 2 acresâa decision that she has now claimed was made purely because she conceived fewer children with Kody than his other spouses.
Meri shares son Leon Brown, 29, with Kody, while Janelle and Christine each share six children with him, and Robyn shares five.
To make matters all the more complicated for Kody, his sole remaining spouse, Robyn, has also voiced her doubts about getting rid of Coyote Pass, telling the cameras that she has âalwaysâ loved the property and finds it âhardâ to even think about âletting it go.â
âRobyn and I havenât really synced up,â Kody says of their differing opinions on what to do with the land. âWeâre in different places, and itâs an in and out. Itâs like sometimes I want to keep it, sometimes I want to sell it. And Robyn knows we need to sell it, but sometimes wants to keep it.â
