Christine Brown and her fiancé, David Woolley, have stunned their fans with some unexpected and heartbreaking news. The couple, who have been in the spotlight since announcing their engagement, recently shared an update that has left many of their followers in shock.

Sister Wives star Christine Brown shocked fans following a documentary about her uncle. But it wasn’t just an ordinary series. Instead, it was about the involvement of her uncle in 25 murders.

It was titled Daughters of the Cult, which tells the story of Ervil LeBaron. Keep reading to learn more about the horrifying background of Christine’s family.

Sister Wives: The Brown Family’s Odd Connections

The Brown family has more complicated family connections than many may know. Meri’s brother, Adam Barber, is Janelle’s first husband, making the ex-sister wives former in-laws.

Robyn’s ex-husband, David Jessop, is Kody’s third cousin and Christine’s first cousin. But things only get more complicated. It was later revealed that Aspyn and her husband, Mitch Thompson, are actually third cousins they married in 2018 and do not have any kids yet.

Christine’s Family Member Involved In Killing Spree

Some Reddit users discussed the recent Hulu documentary, Daughters of the Cult. It features the story of Christine’s uncle, Ervil LeBaron, who’s responsible for the killing of her paternal grandfather, Rulon Allred, and 25 more people.

The story was told by Christine’s first cousin, Anna LeBaron. Her father, Ervil, was the brother of Christine’s maternal grandfather. According to her, Ervil ordered the killing of Rulon, and it was mainly because of religion.

Anna revealed that her dad took a doctrine and became fanatical about polygamy. He had 13 wives and 51 children. She also revealed that her father would have people killed if they tried to leave his cult. Meanwhile, Christine’s late grandfather, Rulon, was the leader of the Apostolic United Brethren, which rivals Ervil’s church.

In my father’s eyes, he was a self-appointed prophet and in the sacred text of the church of Jesus Christ it talks about one mighty and strong. My father believed he was the one mighty and strong. Because he was the ‘true prophet,’ everybody else claiming they were the mighty and strong were false prophets and worthy of penalty.

Rulon was shot to death in his clinic on the order of Ervil. He was arrested in May 1979 and died in prison less than a year later.

Sister Wives: Fans Surprised To See Anna LeBaron & Christine Brown’s Resemblance

Anna revealed that she never met Christine in person, but she would love to if she had the chance. However, she’s aware and understands the reason why they may never meet.

But because our families share a difficult, painful history, I understand completely if for her own well-being it doesn’t make sense for her to want to meet me, being Ervil’s daughter.

Some Redditors were also surprised by how they resemble each other. Here are some of the comments they received.

  • “I watched last night and was surprised by how similar looking a teenage Anna and Christine from her wedding pictures to Kody are.”
  • “The picture of young Anna LeBaron looks like Truley’s twin.”
  • “Holy shit they could pass for identical twins!”
  • “I went down the rabbit hole last night and watched it. Damn. I can’t even imagine. This cult is horrendous. They peach the Bible yet are as unchristian as can be.”

Christine Brown remains silent regarding the explosive documentary about her uncle. But it seems that she wants to stay positive in life following her marriage to David Woolley.

Christine and David Woolley’s wedding specials will premiere on January 7 and 14, 2024, on TLC. If you are looking for more Sister Wives news, come back to TV Shows Ace for all your updates.
