General Hospital spoilers tease Alexis falling more and more off her moral high horse as she gives in to Ava’s blackmail demands — and Ric is just loving it.
Ric Is Ready to Stick it To Alexis
So much for Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) truce with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). It lasted all of one hour before Ric and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbsr) were in a near-fatal car crash, courtesy of Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), Ric’s niece and Alexis’s daughter.
Ric wanted to call the police as soon as he learned that Kristina had cut the brakes on his car while thinking it was Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) car, but Ava talked him out of it.
She thought this was her ticket back onto easy street, and she was right. Alexis forked up millions to keep Ava quiet and keep Kristina out of prison.
Ric wasn’t sure about this idea at first, but now he is all for it if only to see Alexis squirm and knocked down a peg or two.
He revealed that he knew the truth when Alexis paid him a visit, pretending that she was just checking up on him. That’s when it became clear that Molly Lansing-Davis’ (Kristen Vaganos) parents might never get along again.
Ric Relishes in Alexis’ Suffering
Although it’s all about the money to Ava, it’s more about making Alexis’ life absolutely miserable for Ric.
“It’s a payback, you know? ‘I was blamed for going after Kristina on the stand, for defending a truth! An uncomfortable truth, but a truth all the same — she fell! She came into Ava’s room.
She went to Ava’s, Ava didn’t come to her! It’s really about, whose truth is more justified?’” Ric Hearst told Soap Opera Digest. “[Alexis may feel], ‘You’re forcing me to do this.’ But am I? [Ric’s feeling is], ‘Stand up for what you believe in.
You’re always waving the flag of, “I’m the most virtuous and principled human being on the planet” — until it’s your daughter! Until it has to do with you.’ It’s a great conundrum for a character like Alexis to be in.”
Alexis had the opportunity to just have Kristina committed, but she chickened out at the last minute. Now, she is stuck funneling money to Ava indefinitely while Kristina remains crazy.
