While he’s helped Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) out of a ton of jams and she seems to be warming up to him, many in Carly’s orbit still aren’t convinced that he can be trusted.
After all, when Brennan first came to town, he immediately began a friendship with Carly to target her ex-husband, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). In fact, he attacked her in the middle of Bobbie’s and turned into a bit of a weird psychopath, which ultimately landed him in prison.

General Hospital Spoilers – Reason #1 – Sonny Corinthos’s Penthouse Explosion
GH spoilers remind fans that the device used in Sonny’s penthouse explosion was created by the WSB. Viewers seem to think Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is behind the entire thing, as he conveniently entered the land of Port Charles on the same day the explosion occurred.
But what if a plot twist is on the horizon? Brennan promised to help Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) with the investigation, but what if he’s doing this to stay on top of what the PCPD knows, so he’s kept in the loop because he’s behind it all?
This may also explain the extreme lengths Brennan went to for Carly to help Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) with his burn recovery. He may feel guilty that Michael ended up being an innocent victim of something that was intended for the mob boss.
GH Spoilers – Reason #2 – Felicia Scorpio’s Recent Warning
Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) warned Carly about Brennan during the week of January 27-31. She also reminded her, and her fans, how Brennan booted Frisco Jones (Jack Wagner) out of the WSB top spot at one point, for his own selfish and illegal reasons.
This is no coincidence; Felicia is a ‘heroine’ in Port Charles, with a heart of gold who believes in second chances. The fact that she’s concerned about Carly getting closer to Brennan does raise flags about the WSB agent.
This is a trend in soaps when a bad guy ends up being a bad guy. One only needs to point at how many people warned Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) about Peter August (Wes Ramsey), and how he ended up being the ultimate villain in the end.
