General Hospital’s Finola Hughes’ Heartfelt Message to Lynn Herring – Special Tribute for Wayne Northrop’s Passing
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the soap world is still grieving a big loss after the recent passing of Wayne Northrop, who was known for his roles on Days of Our Lives, Port Charles and Dynasty.
The 77-year-old actor was first given an early onset Alzheimer’s diagnosis six years ago and ultimately died with his family surrounding him in love.
Of course, that family includes Lynn Herring (Lucy Coe), who was married to Northrop for 43 years.
Once Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) got updates on Herring’s devastating loss, she decided to send her some supportive words.
On Instagram, Hughes posted a heartfelt message that included a photo of Herring in her younger days with Northrop by her side.
After Finola Hughes offered her condolences to Herring and the sons she shares with Northrop, the GH star shared a little tribute to Northrop himself.
“Dearest Lynn. Sending your beautiful family, Hank & Grady, my deepest condolences. The epitome of a gentleman, family man & rancher, rip Wayne Northrup,” Hughes said.
In the comments of Finola Hughes’ post, some other soap stars joined in and posted special messages of their own.
“Sweet Lynn, I’m so, so sorry for your loss and heartbreak. Sending you and your family all my love and prayers,” Eva LaRue (Natalia Ramirez) said.
Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren Fenmore Baldwin on The Young and the Restless and ex-Donna Temple Craig on Days of Our Lives) also posted about how lovely Wayne Northrop was and revealed that she was “heartbroken for their family.”
Although this is certainly difficult news, it’s nice to know that Lynn Herring is getting lots of support from the soap community.
That includes the many fans who have reached out to let Herring know they’re thinking of her in her time of mourning.
Lynn Herring has been entertaining viewers for decades on GH, so she’s become a beloved daytime drama staple.
Let’s hope Herring can take some comfort in all the love that’s being sent her way.
