It is no secret that Sister Wives star Kody does not have a great relationship with his kids. He has nearly no contact with the kids he has with his OG3 wives.

He still has somewhat of a cordial bond with Robyn’s kids. Now Madison Brown Brush has revealed why she has no contact with her dad, Kody. Maddie is Kody and his second wife, Janelle’s daughter.

Kody has 18 children in total, and it is safe to say that the majority of his kids don’t like him. He has six kids with Janelle and six more with Christine.

He had only one child with Meri and five with Robyn. His fourth wife, Robyn, already had three kids from her last marriage, and she had two with Kody. Madison “Maddie” Brush is now married to Caleb Brush and has four kids.

She recently gave birth to her fourth daughter and spoke out about her decision to cut ties with her father.

Sister Wives star Janelle’s daughter Maddie is married to Caleb, and they share four kids. They have a son, Axel, 7, and two daughters, Evangalynn, 5, and Josephine, 21 months.

She recently gave birth to her fourth child on March 14, 2025, and named her Emilia Estelle Brush.

A fan highlighted that Estella, in Latin, means ‘star.’ So, it is likely that Maddie gave a tribute to her later brother via her daughter’s name.

That’s because Estelle means star, and Garrison loved stargazing. In the reply section, Maddie agreed to the fan’s comment.

At the beginning of Sister Wives, Kody, and his four wives lived together (not so harmoniously). The kids also got along, but each one of them had issues with Kody.

Over the years, all his wives except Robyn left him. His kids also left with his wives, and he was not really nice to any of them. Maddie even cut ties with Kody, and she finally revealed why.

In one of the episodes of the podcast The Authentic Society, Maddie shared that she has no contact with some of her family members because of stuff that has happened over the years.

Regarding Kody, Maddie shared that he doesn’t have any respect for boundaries. He expects people to play by his rules, and she doesn’t care to do that. Maddie further added that Kody would get really angry when she would speak her mind.

She is someone who would give direct answers to questions, and Kody would get very upset over it. He did not like it when she held the mirror in front of him, so she cut all ties with him.

Over the years, their relationship deteriorated, and she saw no reason to drag it. Maddie further explained that Kody would often dismiss her concerns. He would get angry and tell her, ‘That’s not true,’ but she knew the topic firsthand. Kody would just dismiss the matter.
